Hyperacidity foods

Foods that can improve the symptoms of hyperacidity:

Vegetables
Vegetables are low in fat and sugar, and help reduce stomach acid.  Good choices include green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, leafy greens, potatoes, and cucumbers.
Giinger
Ginger contains natural anti-inflammatory properties and is a natural remedy for heartburn and other digestive issues.  You can add grated or chopped ginger root to recipes, smoothies, or drink ginger tea to relieve symptoms.

Oats
It is the breakfast favorite, whole grains, and an excellent source of fiber, and a diet rich in fiber has been associated with a lower risk of stomach acid reflux.  Other fiber options include whole-grain brown bread and whole-grain brown rice.

Non-acidic fruits
When you eat non-citrus fruits like watermelon, bananas, apples and pears, you are less likely to develop acid reflux symptoms than citrus fruits.

Lean meat and seafood
Lean meats, such as chicken, turkey, fish and seafood, reduce acid reflux symptoms.  Try them grilled, broiled, baked or boiled.

Eggs white
Egg white is a good option.  Stay away from egg yolks, which are high in fat and may cause acid reflux symptoms

Healthy fats
Sources of healthy fats include avocados, walnuts, flaxseeds, olive oil, sesame oil, and sunflower oil.  Reduce your intake of saturated fats and trans fats and replace them with these healthy unsaturated fats

Garlic, onions and spicy foods
Hot and tangy foods, such as onions and garlic, trigger heartburn symptoms in many people. These foods won't make everyone acid, but if you eat a lot of onions or garlic, make sure you track your meals carefully.

Caffeine
Caffeine is a major component of many coffees and teas, and is considered a potential trigger for heartburn in some people.  Caffeine may cause GERD symptoms because it can relax the lower esophageal sphincter

Chocolate
Chocolate contains an ingredient called methylxanthine, which has been shown to relax the smooth muscles of the lower esophageal sphincter and increase acid reflux.
